[cobalt-developers] how to remove gd-1.8?

The apache web server has been restarted by removing reference 
to php modules.  In order to re-configure, am guessing need to 
uninstall

gd-1.8.1-1
libpng.so.2

and what else goes along.  The question is how to get rid of these?
