Intel has seems to have no interest in developing drivers for anything other
the Microsoft platforms.  According to Alan Cox they have agreed to release
documentation under a non-disclosure agreement.  Intel would allow the
resulting driver, source and all to be released under GPL (or other license
I'm sure).   I would write the driver myself but unfortunately I am not
skilled the necessary disciplines.
