We're in deep do do if Cobalt wants to emulate Red Hat.

Seriously, though, Cobalt's interest is obvious and stated in their request:

Platforms need apps. Red Hat has apps because of its installed base and
mindshare. Anything Cobalt can do to make porting from RHL to their boxes
easier will increase the apps available to their customers. Thus making
their platform more attractive.

But understand that the popularity of RHL has to do mostly with good
marketing and being at the right place at the right time. But as a developer
with too much RHL experience their products sacrifice reliability and
quality for speed to market and flash (sound like another successful
software company)?

We support RHL.

We don't recommend RHL.

P.S. - if you haven't figured it out yet avoid any RHL with a .0 at the end
of the version number. Verrrrry scarrrrrrry :-)
