I don't believe your comments are applicable.  What you are referring to is
installing updates designed for one platform on another.  What I want to do
is a run a full OS Restore on a RaQ with a Qube3 OS Restore CD.  I have
successfully converted my development Qube3 Pro Ed into a RaQ4r ... I was
looking for confirmation that the reverse is ok and which models are
appropriate.

It is my expectation that;

Qube3 Std OS Restore CD    -> RaQ4
Qube3 Bus Ed OS Restore CD -> RaQ4i
Qube3 Pro Ed OS Restore CD -> RaQ4r

due to the fact that these have very similar hardware.  After that the Qube3
updates would be applicable as that is the software base running on the
hardware.
