It seems my innocent post has generated a LOT of interest, judging by the
number of replies I've received. One fellow even said, "it is not meant to
be informative" (the list' I presume). Perhaps he needs a larger daily dose
of "reality TV". I sure hope such a list is supposed to be informative. I
subscribed to have answers to questions (some VERY basic) that I had about
this server and how to set it up correctly so it would run (hopefully!)
without much attention once properly set up. That seems to be a dim hope at
this point, going by posts to and from "the list". I advise a site as being
far more helpful to my (and perhaps others) needs
<http://cobalt-knowledge.sun.com/cgi-bin/kbase.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php>
.
Keep the soap opera coming into my email box however, I can use a good laugh
occasionally!
I get enough spam as it is, and with your developer's mail list bug
(allowing MANY postings of the same message), my mailbox has plenty of input
without allowing commercial postings (ie: "look at my product"). I know some
folks have inquiring minds, but couldn't you please start a 'commercial
products' list so we could delete this trash automatically?
