Hey guys... The other day I did a reboot after applying some patch or
another, and it took about 10 minutes... Needless to say I was freaking
out... Especially as it was really late and I was just getting ready to go
to bed. BUT, it came up and everything seemed ok. I wondered why it took so
long... Then,
I was playing with my red hat 6.2 box that I have setup for tinkering and
vulnerability scanning and when I rebooted one time, it told me that the
maximum number of boots had been reached and it was mandatory for it to
check the drives for problems (scandisk for Win folks, I guess). Well, it
took about 10 minutes or so to boot as a result... So, I suspect that this
might be what MY RaQ4r did the other day as last night it rebooted in just a
couple of minutes.
HTH,
Rick
