Right.. somehow. It's that sendmail's timeout setting for "checking if
there's a net" is horrible. And yes even you have a DNS server local, it
still happens, as the software try to resolve some names (netscape for
linux does it too, b.t.w., to check and warn you if you're not online on
the global internetnet).

My point is that it could (and in my opinion, should) be changed (the
timeout).

Also, I've noticed that since I upgraded my raq3 from 64mb to 512mb, it
took him like 10 minutes to reboot, that is, according to the logs, 9:30
minutes after the "reset". What leads me to think that the raq takes 9 and
a half mnutes TO CHECK THE MEMORY? That's absurd, but I have no other
explanation. There were no errors at the boot. Just a huge gap between the
"restarting" in the log and the "kernel booting" which is the first line
or so in a boot...
