Many manual changes are likely to be overwritten when the list is next
managed from the GUI.  If you avoid the and administer the list(s) entirely
by emailing majordomo and/or modifying the config files directly on the
filesystem you should be ok.

I install additional copies of majordomo for lists I administer on my RaQ
servers.  I lost the ability to do the limited administration of the lists
from the GUI, but I'm comfortable using the other methods of administering
mj lists.
