Your better off leaving the postgre alone and running a MySQL separately,
many reasons:

1 - muck up the postgre and you've lost ur box
2 - more tools inc winX GUIs for MySQL
3 - better support for php/Perl/MySQL integration
4 - very easy to migrate MySQL dumps to ANY other system whether RaQ or not.

Re your interface issue, we have developed several solutions on Sun/Cobalt

Can anyone give me an idea of how to connect to the
Postgresql database on the Raq4 to get info about users, domains etc. via
