Hello,
I have found an anoying bug in QUBE3 administration interface. I dont
know if this is the right place to report bugs, but as I have lost half
a day with this one I must let my anger out of me somewhere :-)
Problem:
Basic firewall rules gets enabled sometimes, even if the 'enable' button
in firewall settings is unchecked. This is really painful if you have
some outdated/debugging rules left in your configuration and you count
on the fact that if the firewall is disabled, they are wont affect qube
befaviour.
Firewall rules gets enabled when activating web caching and setting up
network interface. It is obvious that both these fuctions inserts some
rules (redirect to port and masquerade) to ipchains, but all rules are
activated (accidently) even these 'lost' disabled rules that should not
be activated.
I have lost connectivity to my QUBE three times before I figured out
what's up. 'Reset filters' from LCD menu solves that problem, but it is
little help if you do not have physical access to qube.
Hope this helps ...
