Ah, the answer to all simple problems is to buy the CD? Very commercial.
This, of course. doesnt answer the question. Does ANYONE know the answer?
You shouldnt have to load any patches to just upgrade the kernel. 2.2.16
and 2.2.14 are compatible at the user level, but i dont know what other
crap is in the package.
Is there a way to get just /usr/src/linux? You dont need anything else.

Is there anyway to upgrade a stock raq3i to v2.2.16 kernel without having
to load the 30 upgrades (I was told i had to load ALL of the updates in
order)? I havent been able to get more than 10 installed without trashing
the machine. All I need is the 2.2.16 kernel.
Thanks.
Dennis
