I have a clean RaQ4 with no previous installations of Webalizer.
I have read many forums where server admin folk have complained of httpd
errors, and having to disable PHP4 in order to get httpd to run.
I have many sites that are driven by PHP and I cannot afford to spend half a
day getting the server back up and running if the install sends httpd belly
up.
The errors people have been talking about concern the modules libphp4.so and
libgd.so - the following is a server error log from an aforementioned user:
Syntax error on line 58 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server: /usr/lib/libgd.so.1:
undefined symbol: png_set_dither
/tmp/upgrade_dir/RPMS/gd-1.8.1-4mdk.i586.rpm:
MD5 sum OK: c2bd2a88e953b5ddb17794fcf46187ce
exec failed!
Could not run gpg. Use --nogpg to skip GPG checks.

The only fixes mentioned on these forums was to comment out the line
referencing libphp4.so, but this of course knocks out PHP4, which may anger
my clients slightly ;-)
I have downloaded Webalizer 2.01 PKG file, but I can't afford to take my
server down.
If anyone can offer some advice I would be most grateful.
Cheers
Bobby Chopra
