Thanks for the pleasant comments :) So, what if we install it under a
virtual site and just make it as another program working independently. We
can then change the perl exe path on top of the scripts that are using perl
5.6

I talked to a Cobalt tech guy who "guaranteed" a Perl upgrade would break
the system.  I didn't entirely trust him, but as it voids the boss' warranty
I didn't try either.
