I use Squirrelmail for reading mail  with a web browser.
www.squirrelmail.org

I install the package in each customers pages. I use a directory
"readmail" as my
personal standard underneath "web".

Squirrelmail is PHP. It requires no changes to my Raq 4 or extensions to
PHP like some others do.\
If you want to use attachments,  just create an attachments directory
above the "web" directory.
