Good observation.
Actually, the firewall is built into the router, and it is allowing requests
to go to the Qube on eth0.
The Qube is a web server, so the web needs access to it, on eth0. Basic
firewall is also running on the Qube, with different sets of rules for eth0
and eth1. The rest of the network is behind the firewall. Internally, we get
at the Qube on eth1, while the Web gets at it on eth0.
So, back to the mail issue, I get slow response from either eth0 or eth1. If
I set my mail server as www.domain.com or 192.168.x.x, it doesn't really
matter. I send using 192.x.x.x because that seems to be faster than going
out to the web for the domain name server.
Is it worth setting up DNS with just my domain in it? Would that make the
mail run faster?
