T think your harddisk (or at least the filesystem on it) is corrupted.
My best bet is to export evrything off the machine asap using the CMU (Cobalt
Migration Utility), and then OS restore the box and import the data and config
back in. Don't forget the /etc/named/records file if you use your RaQ as
nameserver as well.

nobody != everybody. If a directory is owned and rw for nobody, nobody but
nobody can access it.
