Wouldn't break the current perl or Cobalt scripts!! When I query @INC, I get
four directory for perl 2 for 5.003 and 2 for 5.005? Any ideas why is that
happening...

Perl modules.
Go grab them from www.cpan.org and install them as root.

It goes something like this:

tar xvfpz mod.tar.gz
cd mod
perl Makefile.PL
make test (not required)
make install
