Yes. You can have Apache treat any file extension you want as a PHP file.
In srm.conf or httpd.conf (I've never used a Qube3 so I'm not sure which
file) make sure you have the following line:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3
Then restart apache. /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd.init restart (or may be
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart).
