[cobalt-developers] webalizer2.01 and gdlib1.8.3 issue

Hello all,

I was trying to build a webalizer 2.0.1 pkg file on cobalt raq4, and I know
i have zlib already in the cobalt, I installed the libpng 1.0.8 and libjpeg
6b into the cobalt.  The last component I need is the newer version of gd
library.  When I try to upgrade the gd-1.8.3 into the system only to found
out the new version does not have libgd.so.1 library file, but libgd.so.1.8
library file and so I get the error of the following:
	  libgd.so.1 is needed by webalizer-1.30.04-1
        libgd.so.1 is needed by smartupstools-0.41.2-C11
        libgd.so.1 is needed by php-4.0.3pl1-C1r4

Anyone know how to overcome this issue.  If I uninstall the old gdlib, ad
install the new one, will my php and smartupstools module still work with
the new library automatically since it dun have libgd.so.1 but libgd.so.1.8?
