Here is the fix...
as root cd to /usr/lib
then create a link to /usr/share/terminfo
ln -s /usr/share/terminfo .

Subject: [cobalt-developers] vi bug?
Hello Cobalt Gurus --
On my RaQ 2,
I am seeing a strange new behavior in vi:
when first invoked, it briefly flashes an error
message complaining that it can't open
the termcap file. However, the termcap
file is exactly where it's supposed to be
(in /etc), it's world-readable, and its contents
are intact. So the message makes no sense.
I have been seeing this error since I installed
the last half-dozen patches. So I wonder whether
a recent patch included something that causes
vi to misbehave.
Does anyone in this group know anything about
that?
Thanks so much for any light you can shed!
Dan Keller
