Hi,
I have found this email address while searching how to change the boot kernel
on a cobalt Raq4i. If you are bothered by my question, I apologize, just
discard my mail.
What I'm trying to do is to install a Debian distribution on a Cobalt.
I've installed all the stuff and I'm able to boot when saying set_params
"root=/dev/hda3" at the serial prompt.
But I never succeded to tell the eeprom to directly boot my own kernel (which
is a 2.4.1). When booting with bfd, it load the eeprom kernel (a 2.2.14) and
never succed to mount the root fs !
I've try to put a gzipped staticaly linked ELF vmlinux in the /boot directory
like I readed in the article where I've seen your address, but that doesn't
worked !
Could you please help me ? Or tell me where I could find help ?
Best regards,
Olivier Molteni.
