Basically you do the following (its all documented on cobalts site in PDFs)
first you need to do this locally
connect the raq to the LAN and another machine with a compatible network
card (i.e. a Sun Ultra workstation)
then insert a RaQ3 restore CD (cobalt should be able to send you one FOC if
you supply your serial no and plead with your accounts manager! a raq 4 Cd
will also work too ;)
the restore cd sets up the machine (ie the sun) to act as a DHCP server
hunting for the raq.
then reboot the raq which will broadcast across the network for a DHCP
server when it finds the sun it'll start copying the data across and then
finally reboot allowing you to install from the LCD.
So you enter the IP of the raq, the subnet, gateway, dnsIP and your on!
thats about it - its not hard the only ackward thing is getting the right
network card in a machine. Cobalt only list 6 compatible ones be we've had
no issues with any we've tried
good luck, feel free to post back for more assistance :)

I would be grateful if somebody could explain me how to rebuild the RAQ3
from scratch.
Apparently I need a recovery CD-ROM which I don't have.
Could somebody explain me how to get it and also how to get the CD on the
machine. As far as I see it, I can't plug anything to it no CD drive, no
nothing.
Thanks
Gilles
