Usually, you just need to configure a second interface using the ':n' syntax.

ifconfig eth0:0 10.2.1.129 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.2.1.255
route add -host 10.2.1.129

I'd recommend that you use a different class C IP.  Something like 209.1.2.50. 
If you want to use the .51 you mentioned, you'll have to set the .255 mask
values correctly.  You'll probably want to modify the default route as well.
