Only the user named "root" has permission to edit
this file.  You were attempting to edit it while
logged-in as "admin".  To become "root", login as
"admin" (as you did) and then type the command "su".
You'll be prompted for a password.  The root password
is the same as the admin password.  You can tell at a
glance when you're root by looking at the prompt.
Root's prompt is # instead of the usual $.  Once
you've become root, you can edit conf files.
