Dear All,
Whilst on the topic of DNS. I know a Cobalt RAQ4 Server has a limit of 250
vservers/vhosts, but how many DNS entries can the server handle. I currently
have a server hosted with a dedicated IP (not dynamic IP as with a RAQ4
vserver) and I am using my
RAQ4 to point to this server (using the remote IP directly) using A records.
The practicality of this is that I have a 'This name is registered page!' on
a unique IP and whenever I register a name for a client I simply park the
name using the RAQ4 DNS on the remote IP address that hosts the 'This name
is registered page!' thus a domain name is never lying lame (as per
instructions in RFCs). But I am wondering just how many domain names I will
be able to do this for before my RAQ4 starts to strain under the load.
Kindest Regards, Keith@xxxxxxxxxx
