Yes, but then you'd be responsible for keeping it locked up and safe
from spammers who will eventually discover it, etc., as then the
pop-before-smtp fix from Cobalt won't work anymore.

And I have no idea if aol will allow traffic through port 26 (or any
other non-standard port for that matter) though my guess would be that
if they do now, they won't forever.

For more information on doing this yourself, read all the documentation
at sendmail.org, and for all the email clients your customers use, some
of which may not have the capability.  Then, when you think you know
everything <smile>, if you have any problems, post to the "mailhelp"
list.

Or hire a consultant who knows how to do it (like us <smile>).

But unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that  aol will pass nonstandard
ports to the 'net.
