We're getting a little off-topic for the developers' list here but at the
risk of further decreasing the S/N ration I will remind DNS newbies that
while it may be true that:
> if the ISP is down, it is likely I am as well;
there is a significant difference between having your domain name resolve
but your server not respond and having both down, especially as far as email
is concerned.
There are a number of free secondary DNS services available. Not to mention
many people who will happily exchange secondary DNS services (you serve me,
I'll server you, etc.).
So there is no excuse not to have a completely independent secondary (if not
more than one) and good reason to keep your DNS up even if your server
isn't.
