Barry,

Many of my clients have hundreds of sites running on a RaQ3 without any
of the problems you've mentioned.  My guess is that because you know how
to configure by hand you've changed something and made it incompatible
with the RaQ.

Did you restore the files on the RaQ from the *.master files before you
readded the few sites you're using for testing?
