I would have to agree, I have a very limited knowledge of Unix, but I do
understand everything runs as a process that can be stopped & restarted. So
instead of rebooting, you should be able to stop whatever process(es) that
need to be reset & the restart them. Rebooting is a much longer & lazier
way to do it, & is not in the developer spirit.
