You didn't answer my last post, so I'm not sure where to start. Have
you registered a domain name? If not, you need to do that. You can use
Network Solutions, you can use me. Or anyone else inbetween <smile>.
But you've to have a domain registered to you. Just typing one into
your Raq doesn't do that for you.

When you register it you need to give the registrar the name (and
possibly also the IP#s) of two nameservers to point to. You must use
servers that actually host DNS for your new domain; if you fake it no
one on the net will ever be able to reach you. One of these can beyour
ISP's, but it's frankly not a good idea if your ISP also sells hosting;
because anyone who looks you up will also find your ISP if they do your
DNS.

The RaQ gui's main setup page has a place where you put in the IP#s of
two DNS servers. The first one should probably be your ISP's. If your
ISP doesn't have two (ask them; they probably do), use your own as the
second one.

Of course you have to turn on your RaQ's DNS, and set it up properly as
well.

As an alternative to worrying about DNS, there are a lot of companies,
including ours, who can do DNS hosting; by now, doing it for hundreds of
domains, we do it right <smile>.

You are aware of course that this list is NOT the right list for these
kinds of questions, right?

This is a list for developers, using Cobalt products to develop new
services to run on them.

Your questions should best be asked on the Cobalt users list.
