Why do you want to go to all that trouble for that reason?
Just modify your mx record(s) to direct your email to the MS exchange 
server......
cannot anticipate your reasons for wnating to do so,
but can suggest that you might wish to maintain the cobalt raq's mail server
as a redundant system....
