[cobalt-developers] Chili!Soft ASP and Interbase integration

We have had several inquiries about connectivity between Chili!Soft ASP and
Interbase on the RaQ4.  Chili!Soft ASP requires an ODBC driver to be 
able to connect to any database.  The RaQ4 was supposed to have 
shipped with this driver  built in. However, we had problems beyond 
our control that made it impossible for us to deliver the Interbase 
ODBC driver in time for the initial RaQ4 shipment date.

Chili!Soft has been working to finalize the development and testing
of the Interbase ODBC driver. We have made the driver available as of
September 29 as a beta release. Interested parties can download the ODBC
driver as part of a Chili!Soft ASP update patch for the RaQ4, available in
*.pkg format. It is available at: http://www.chilisoft.com/beta

This Chili!Soft update will be rolled into the RaQ4 OS Update 1.0, due out
this fall, and will ship on factory RaQ4s soon afterward. We apologize for
any inconvenience that this has caused to our Cobalt customers.
