[cobalt-developers] /var partition full

Hello everybody!
on a raQ2, i get 
/dev/hda3             198275  172284    25991     87%   /var

i found the file that wastes the partition space: 

./var/cobalt/status

The file is using 160 meg:

-rw-r--r--   1 root     root     161308672 Sep  9 06:18 status

is it safe to delete the file? it is a binary file. I have not been able
to open it...
