Re: [cobalt-developers] Java: I quit!

I install Java in my Raq2 with this pkg's, but you
need are registred first in developer.cobalt.com.

              Code and Tools

              Cobalt Developer Network provides code
that is already compiled and documented with Readme
files. Where appropriate, the code is in Cobalt
web-installable package
format and is ready to load and use. You
might already have older versions of this code on your
Cobalt server.

This code does not come with any
support; use it at your own risk. Cobalt strongly
recommends trying code first on nonproduction servers
and testing it to your
              satisfaction before deploying them on
mission-critical machines.

              You must first install
All-Kernel_mips-1.0.pkg and
All-Kernel_mips_tools-1.0.pkg.

              Java for MIPS

                    Kaffe MIPS
(Kaffe-1.0.5-1.mips.pkg) is an open-source Java
virtual machine and class libraries written by
Transvirtual. Kaffe now provides support for
                    Servlets API, Remote Method
Invocation (RMI) API, and a JIT compiler for the MIPS
processor. See the Readme file for requirements, file
locations, and
                    testing information. This is a
standalone package for Java-based server applications.
If you want to develop Servlets, install ApacheJServ V
1.1 MIPS and all the
                    required software.
                    ApacheJServ MIPS
(ApacheJServ-1.1-1.mips.pkg) is the Apache engine for
serving Java Servlets. See the Readme file for
requirements, file locations, and
                    testing information. You must also
install:
                          Kaffe-1.0.5-1.mips.pkg

ClasspathX_Servlet-1.1-mips.pkg
                          Apache-1.3.12-1.mips.pkg
                    Apache for MIPS
Apache-1.3.12-1.mips.pkg) is the most popular web
server on the Internet, ported for Cobalt MIPS-based
products. It is an efficient and
                    extensible server that provides
HTTP services in sync with the current HTTP standards.
See the Readme file for requirements, file location,
and testing
                    information. An earlier version of
this code ships with Cobalt server products. This
package is an upgrade to the version that shipped with
Cobalt MIPS
                    machines. It supplies increased
functionality for Apache modules for installation and
execution and allows you to compile on the Qube using
Apache APXS.
                    ClasspathX_Servlet MIPS
(ClasspathX_Servlet-1.1-mips.pkg) is a set of
third-party Java Servlet Development Kit classes for
use with ApacheJServ and
                    other Servlet engines. See the
Readme file for file location and testing information.

                    Note: While this package is
labeled for a specific architecture, it should be
useable on any system that has a Java 1.1 VM
available. It is a replacement for the Sun
JSDK that shipped on the Cobalt
server.

              Java for i386

                    ApacheJServ V 1.1 i386
(ApacheJServ-1.1-1.i386.pkg) is the Apache engine for
serving Java Servlets. Servlets are the Java platform
technology of choice for
                    extending and enhancing Web
servers. See the Readme file for requirements, file
location, and testing information. You must also
install
                    ClasspathX_Servlet-1.1-1.i386.pkg.

                    ClasspathX Servlet i386
(ClasspathX_Servlet-1.1-1.i386.pkg) is a set of
third-party Java Servlet Development Kit classes for
use with ApacheJServ and other
                    Servlet engines. See the Readme
file for file location and testing information.
                    Note: While this package is
labeled for a specific architecture, it should be
useable on any system that has a Java 1.1 VM
available.

Note: MIPS applies to the Qube 2700,
Qube 2, RaQ, and RaQ 2 server appliance families. i386
applies to the RaQ 3 server appliance family.

              The Cobalt Solutions Directory presents
the categories of applications created by Cobalt
Networks and our Solution Partners that make the
Cobalt platform the ideal
choice as an integrated web and software
development platform.
