[cobalt-developers] email list blown away

Good morning all (and a very useful group you are ):

I have found that if I manually modify an email-list with some new names it
destroys the list. Well one of my site-admins that has been warned of this,
tried it anyway and destroyed the entire list.

Anyone know where this file is stored - can I just put the names in
manually via telnet, build it some editor and ftp it over, ????
