I have been there and done this !
The only solution I found was to create an temp site with the new
IP address. Upload everything from the old site to it, then put a
redirect on the exsisting site to the new ip address, then enter the
proper dns stuff in the control panel, then in a couple days (once
the dns updates have cycled).. Your in business.. It's a real pain, I
tried all the hoops your trying to no avail.
Hope this helps.. Lennie
Hi! I am having some problems. I wish to change the IP of a virtual site to
add ssl.
I change it in the UI so it effects the PgSQL DB, and it's fine, i just get a
bandwidth warning message.
Then i go in and chance all the DNS records, still no luck.
THen i check and apache is configured correctly with the new IP?
I have checked cobalt's faq, nothing, and god knows what happens when you
call cobalt....
ANy help is appreciated :) Thanks :)
