[cobalt-developers] Postgresql

I am trying to create a database on my new cobalt Raq3. I am under the
impression that the server comes with this pre installed and configured. But
when I ask for support from Cobalt I am told that is third party software. I
am not a dumb person all I really need is someone to get me started. I
followed the instructions from knowledge base and it got me no where. I also
went to the Postures web site and downloaded the manual. I think I am
following it but I get various errors from the Temp01 db is not found the
lib dir is not found and the data dir not found. I am not new to databases
but I am new to Linux and Postgres.

or should I spend my time with another SQL server
