[cobalt-developers] Sendmail Not Relaying From Perl or Command Line

Im getting the following error from the telnet command line :
[root@ns1 main]# /usr/sbin/sendmail support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx User unknown
and this error from perl scripts accessing sendmail through a pipe:
support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx User unknown
/root/dead.letter... Saved message in /root/dead.letter
It seems as though I cannot execute sedmail in either mode due to
relay restrictions. I install software on servers all day and
have never had a relay problem from executing sendmail in either
of the configurations above.
Is there a special configuration to maintain standard SMTP relay
protection, but allow access to perl scripts and root/admin at the
command line?
Please advise!
