Just so you know:  My <smile> and my <grin> are probably both subtly
different than a :) which is perhaps almost a smile.  I never did figure
out what :] is.

My wry grin can't be done with a standard character set: it's a tilde
(the uppercase key to the left of the "!" key) with an umlaut (two dots)
over it.  If you could stand the tilde on it's side, you could create it
with the colon ":" key and the tilde on it's side.
