i`m not very common with the usage of tar, as i use it in a script that
i wrote months ago. some days ago i thought to remember it without
viewing the man page, the result was that i posted *big* junk.

so i`ll have to look it up myself, but it`s 4:20 am here :-(

you may look it up using "man tar"; if you don`t manage to do it, i`ll
help tomorrow if in the meantime no one other responds.

btw: if you use "su", you should call it ALWAYS with the complete path
("/bin/su") to decrease the danger of trojans. and instead of telnet,
you should use ssh. see the knowledge base for installation
instructions.
