Brian,
I just uploaded the following rpms to
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/contrib/i386 and
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/contrib/binaries (mipsel versions)
perl-DBI-1.14
perl-Msql-Mysql-modules-1.2214
The above two should give you DBI and the Mysql modules compiled and ready
to go. The rest of the rpms below don't really apply to your questions or
issues, but I uploaded them anyway and wanted to announce their
availability.
perl-Date-Calc-4.3
The above is just useful for date calculations and formatting... I like it
for automatic report generation.
perl-Bit-Vector-5.7
Handles bit vectoring... I needed to do some 64 bit logic which I couldn't
get perl to handle on it's own.
perl-MIME-Lite-2.101
Let's you compile binaries into MIME mail... for some of my automated
reporting tasks it let's me mail out some charts.
gd-1.8.3
gd-devel-1.8.3
perl-GD-1.30
perl-GDGraph-1.32
perl-GDTextUtil-0.75
perl-Chart-Plot-0.10
Creates graphic charts and plots and a more current version of the gd
library.
NOTE: I have no idea if this breaks our standard products, as I'm not using
them on it. I also don't believe they would break anything. The only one I
might worry a little about is the updated gd for the RaQ3 and beyond (intel
stuff). Those products use an older version of gd. If you find you start
to have problems with any of the Cobalt standard stuff you might want to
revert gd to the old one. For MIPS based product, I don't believe gd was
used at all, so there should be no problems.
Let me know your experiences! Hope these help.
