Hi Jim -
No to seem simplistic in providing a solution to find the exact errors, but
have you gone into the shell and executed the following commands:
perl -c ftplib.pl
or
perl -d ftplib.pl
This should provide you with line by line number simple syntax variations
that are incompatible.
