there are at least 42 :-) things to do, that can`t be explained within 2
phrases... sorry

a good, simple thing to start with (without any danger to crash your
server or to lock out youself, it happend to me testing portsentry) is
to educate users to use good passwords (8 characters, lower + upper case
+ numbers)
