[cobalt-developers] list.config file ignored by html contained posts

I found something interesting. After DAYS of trying to figure out why my
list.config file's message_footer entry was being ignored, I figured it out.

My email signature had *centering* which is done w/html control. Whenever
my signature was on my outgoing post to my list, most formatting options I
set up in the config file were ignored. My subject-prefix was okay, but
fronters and footers were just not there.

If anyone posts with HTML stuff, it ignores stuff, but I don't necessarily
want to eliminate that capability from the list (drop html stuff).

Anyone seen this, know a way to solve it? I may have to eliminate html and
attachments to solve this.
