I didn't use the package at all -- I downloaded the apache source from
apache.org, and the pam module from blank.pages.de/pam/.

I have intructions on compiling apache on the raq at:

this includes mysql, apache, php and mod_auth_pam.

the instructions work for php4, too. I have openssl installed, so I'm going
to take a crack at mod_ssl when I have time.
