Installing PHP4 -MySQL in RaQ3

I used to use PHP4 on my development platform. I found the pkg file of the
PHP4 beta on ftp.cobaltnet.com. I remember I also saw a mod_php4... on the
ftp site but again isn't there anymore.

Now PHP4 isn't beta anymore.
Now I would like to move my stuff to a production environment and...
the pkg of the beta has gone and no other pkg or rpm are there.

Anyone has compiled PHP4 it succesufully from tarball on a RaQ3?
Anyone has tested it on more than one virtual site?
Anyone has kept notes on the order the necessary steps to build it?
Anyone has kept notes on the order the necessary steps to conf apache?

I built it myself but I'm not happy with it, and should I redo it on another
I'm not sure I would end up with the same results.
