[cobalt-developers] Qube 2 UPS or Battery Supply Backup ?

Hi,
I intend to protect my Qube from Power failure.
I see two ways to do it.
Buy a standard UPS (this means I need a UPS and a battery)

or the second option could be to put the Cube directly to a PB Battery.

Looking inside to the area of the board where 12VDC comes in I see 
circuitry which regulates the internal power.

Is there anyone who has done this successfully?
Could be another good reason to buy a Qube because we do need a UPS, it 
just could run from a battery!
