Make sure you have successfully installed the All_Kernel.mips and All_kernel_tools.mips patches on your Qube 2 ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/developer/All-Kernel_mips-1.0.pkg
and ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/developer/All-Kernel_mips_tools-1.0.pkg . The first has a newer kernel with lots of enhancements and bugfixes, while the latter has a glibc that has threading fixed.
