[cobalt-developers] DNS & Samba

Question 1:
We're trying to become a web host and are now using an RaQ 3. Initially
when I set-up the RaQ3, I gave it the name "Cobalt" on our domain. I was
assuming that since I gave the RaQ3 the necessary information (eg Domain
name, ip address, etc) that it would be able to find our domain. The
problem that I ran into is when I restarted the system. I telneted in and
tryed to configure samba. I then restarted it '/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb
restart' but when that didn't work I went ahead and rebooted the whole
system. It started up okay, but then the web services didn't work because
'httpd.conf' couldn't find machine 'Cobalt' on DomainName. I contacted
Cobalt Support and they got the machine restarted but basically I'm back
where I started. How do I get Samba started on the RaQ 3 ?
Question 2:
I want to use the RaQ 3 as our DNS server. From the problem above -> the
main server name was initially cobalt.domainname (I guess the system added
this automatically?). When the server was rebooted (again from above), I
changed the main server name to the first domain address that we're using
(www.WebServiceName.com) So now we have our domain1 running the RaQ 3
internally under the server name of domain address (www.WebServiceName.com).
Under the SOA Configuration I would list www.WebServiceName.com as the
primary DNS server correct? Then I would use the IP address of domain1 and
have our router connect outside calls to our internal DNS (the RaQ 3).
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
