Re: [cobalt-developers] Web Admin Front End

We have an existing web-based front end for our dialup, email, billing, etc.
(see http://www.wholesaleisp.net/ for a demo), however we are now attempting
to integrate a RaQ3i into the mix. I have been working with the perl
modules on the box to handle simple items such as site suspension, listing
all sites, etc. When setting up a new site though, it appears as though we
need to use the Meta module to create a vsite object instead of just
creating the pieces and parts via the Vsite module. By using the perl
modules though, there is no need to edit the files directly as Cobalt has
already put together the modules to handle the file editing and any errors
encountered, etc. Has anyone else looked into the perl modules and has
anyone used them to successfully set up a new vsite?

I'd be interested in getting some tips on what files generally need to be
modified.

Also, what happens when upgrades/patches come from Cobalt? Do you have to
go back and re-apply all your changes?

Thanks.

I have a modified version for our company to resell with a
reasonably "new look" and a few added extras and removed features that we
wish
to hide.

It's in no way impossible, not even too hard once you get into the swing of
how
things are generally done. Stick to using the Cobalt Perl modules to
activate,
deactivate and configure services.

What would you be thinking of adding/changing?
